Wish I could move to Philly and buy it–I love your house! I’ll link over here to it from my blog later this week. Good luck with the move!

Oh my gosh, what a bargain. I ADORE your house and if I could find a darn reason to up and move to Philly, I would buy it right now (let’s pretend I don’t have a condo up here in NH to sell first). Best of luck with your home sale — I’m sure it’ll be snapped right up.

I actually looked at your house when I was house hunting in 2008 – before you bought it and transformed it – and decided that I couldn’t take on the amount of work it needed. It’s been so neat to follow the progress – it looks incredible now!
Good luck in Brooklyn

What’s your new job? And have you found a place in Brooklyn yet?

Wow, wish we had a reason to move across town! You know I’ve always loved the job you guys did on your kitchen.
Philly keeps losing good people to Brooklyn!

Leah – this is Christy, I’m a friend of Roz and Christa, I’d been following your blog back in Philly. We’re in Portland, ME now. I was cleaning out my bookmarks and clicked yours –SO glad I did! Congrats on getting married (woot!) and on the new job. Your “new” house looks every bit as fab as your last. I am forwarding the info to friends of ours in Philly who may be looking for a new place. ANyway — glad to see you’re doing so well. Wishing you all the best, Christy

Hey Christy!
Did Roz tell you that I’m obsessed with Portland, ME? I was trying to figure out how Nick and I could move there and support ourselves just mere months ago. Oh well, it looks like Brooklyn won out this time!
I’d LOVE it if you passed along the word to anyone looking for a new place!! Our block and neighbors are such nice people that we hate to leave them behind actually. Oh, and as extra incentive, we lowered the price on Friday.
Best,
Leah

Leah, Portland’s loss is Brooklyn’s gain. I more than understand the lure of this place — Maine is BEAUTIFUL(!) but job’s are so few and far between. I’m convinced that’s the reason people aren’t moving here in droves. We’ve been restoring our 250 year old colonial. Feel free to read all about it! ANYWAY. Brklyn is awesome, and I wish you every happiness there. Best of luck! I’ve passed the info onto our friends and I know you’ll sell your house quickly. It’s fantastic.

Hey Leah,
Lived outside of West Philly for 8 yrs and then moved to another twin in Harrisburg (which we renovated and is currently where I blog from). Anyhow, saw your post on Hooked on Houses and posted it on my facebook page. I still have a ton of Philly connections so I hope it helps! Your house is gorgeous and even in this crappy market it should sell quickly! Many blessings on your move to Brooklyn.

Why am I not living in Philly?! In Istanbul, where I live, crappy, ugly, small apartments with tiny windows are double that price!

Ha! My neighbors would all hate to hear that they don’t live in the city! But seriously saveasnew…even though it’s not Center City, it’s definitely still Philadelphia. In fact, some might argue that the Northwest is one of the best parts of Philadelphia…after all, the Wissahickon is right there. Perfect for bike rides, hiking, and general exploring! The people are friendly and there is lots of great housing stock there.
(By the way, West Philly, South Philly, Chestnut Hill, Manayunk and East Falls are all part of Philadelphia too!!)

the house is gorgeous, don’t get me wrong and the location i’m sure is great. however i will always bike to work no matter the heat, rain, sleet or snow. however doing that ride just wouldn’t happen. my gf and i actually looked at a great house around n 33rd st & cecil b moore ave & that was simply just too far. so if you’re one that has a car or likes public transit, then yes this is a great buy…

Wow!! A well decorated house! Looks awesome. Its amazing how much a creative mind can do with a space. I think you should get into interior design if you are not already doing it.
If you are still in Philly, would you be interested in a small interior design gig? Which website / place do you use for your pictures?
Sanjay.

Thanks! I’m not in Phily any longer unfortunately. Maybe when things calm down in the future, I’d be interested in a small gig though. After all, Philly is only 2 hours away!

Hi there,
We’ve moved now, and I don’t have the paint can any longer. So sorry, but I don’t recall!! It was a Williamsburg Paint color, I know that though…
