Sofa Hunt: Timothy Oulton’s Reggio

I’ve owned the same sofa since 1998.  It was the first big purchase I made after graduating college, and I got it from Storehouse Furniture.  (Boy did I felt very grown up!)  And even though it’s still a great sofa, it’s definitely seen better days.  Therefore Nick and I have been keeping our eyes open for a style/shape/size that fits our lifestyle as it is today.   And although I’m not entirely sure that this little guy from Timothy Oulton is the perfect one for us and our everyday use, I must say that I absolutely fell in love with it when I saw it today at ABC Carpet & Home in Union Square.  OMG…so perfect in so many ways.

Well, we got approved for an apartment in Brooklyn today!  At least that is one less thing to worry about now.  I’m so excited about a new space to decorate that I can hardly stand it!!  Here are some sneak peaks of it!

That is a working fireplace, you guys!!  I’m fantasizing about sipping hot cocoa in front of that bad boy!

Here’s a “before” pic of the ridiculously small kitchen.  I can’t wait to get in there and start working some organizing magic.

This is what it might look like if I have too many glasses of red wine and tumble down the stairs in the apartment.  Treacherous!

I know a great house for sale!!

Hey guys,

We have some big news!  We’re moving to Brooklyn!  I got a new job (and Nick has always been based out of NYC ), so we’re putting our house up for sale!  All the hubbub going on in our personal life is why we haven’t had time to really do much on the blog these days, but hopefully that will change soon.

So I’m putting it out there to all of you who have followed along on our journey with the renovations, the feature in Country Living, etc.  It’s been a lot of fun, and we hate to leave our beautiful house behind…but this is a chance that we couldn’t pass up.  Soooo….if any of you are looking for a great house in Philly (or know someone who is), then pass along our information!!  Here are pics of our house!
